This study aims to conceptualize well-being communication and propose the goals and content of well-being communication education within the context of speech education by highlighting its necessity. To this end, the study first defines well-being communication as ‘a process in which communication participants intentionally use and understand verbal and nonverbal expressions that imply the well-being of themselves and others, and construct meaning together with their interlocutors.’ based on the conceptual relationship between well-being communication. In addition, the study identifies reciprocity, openness, inclusiveness, reflexivity, and transferability as the core characteristics of well-being communication, and based on these concepts and features, it proposes educational goals and content for well-being communication in speech education.
