The research aimed at understanding the influence of environmental conditions on the cardiovascular function in exercising free gymnastics. With eight sports-majoring students, who exercised the given gymnastics in ten places, the following results were obtained.
1. The higher the temperature(℃) was, the lower steps, distance, velocity and oxygen uptake during exercise. The correlation coefficient between heart rate and temperature was 0.86(p<0.001), the former influenced by the latter.
2. As the coefficient between wind velocity(m/sec) and exercise velocity stood firm at 0.57, the latter increased at the former's growth.
3. There was a firm correlation(r=0.45∼0.52) between humidity (%) and cardiac dfficiency, energy consumption and weight loss.
4. High correlations (r=0.79, p<0.05; r=0.81, p<0.05) appeared respectively between energy consumption, weight loss and air pressure(mmHg).
5. No correlation was found in atmospheric O₂density, though it acted negatively to eight factors except heart rate.
6. A considerable correlation(r=0.70, p<0.05) was revealed between atmospheric CO₂density and heart rate.
