보건소 자원봉사자 교육 프로그램의 개발 및 인지된 효과 분석 = Development of an Education Program for Volunteers in Health Care Center and Perceived Effect Analysis

This study was to develop the 8-session education program for volunteers in health care center and to evaluate the effects in terms of the perceived changes in knowledge and skills and general self-efficacy. Nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. Participants were 65 volunteers (49 experimental and 16 control groups). Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and Wilcoxon rank sum test were conducted to analyze data. There were no difference between the experimental and the control groups in general characteristics, subjective skill and self-efficacy at pre-test except subjective knowledge score. The comparison between pretest and post-test showed a significant increase of subjective knowledge and skills in the experimental group. The education program was effective to increase subjective knowledge and skills for volunteers in health care center. Given that the current study was conducted in one health care center and that there are different types of health care center (i.e. city-, rural-, and mixed type), development and evaluation of tailored education programs by different types of health care center are needed in future.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

자원봉사자 교육은 봉사활동의 만족성과 지속성에 영향을 준다는 선행연구 결과를 바탕으로, 본 연구에서는 총 8주의 보건소 자원봉사자 교육 프로그램을 개발 및 적용하였으며, 그 효과에 관해 대상자가 인지한 자원 봉사활동 지식, 자원 봉사활동 수행능력 및 일반적 자아효능감 측면에서 평가하였다. 본 연구는 비동등성 대조군 전후 실험설계를 이용하였으며, 대상자는 총 65명(실험군 49명, 대조군 16명)으로 구성되었으며, 분석을 위해 카이제곱검정, Fisher의 정확검정(exact test), t-검정(t-test)을 사용하였으며, 샤피로-윌크 검정을 통해 정규성이 검증되지 않은 경우에는 비모수 검정방법 중 하나인 Wilcoxon 순위합검정(rank sum test)을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 실험군에 측정된 사전과 사후 주관적으로 인지된 지식과 주관적 수행능력 점수의 차이가 대조군의 사전과 사후 점수의 차이보다 유의하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 일반적 자아효능감은 두 그룹 간에 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 개발된 교육 프로그램은 보건소 자원봉사자가 주관적으로 인지한 지식과 수행능력을 유의하게 증가시킨 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 향후 교육 프로그램의 효과를 객관적 지표를 이용하여 평가하는 연구가 필요하다. 또한 여러 종류의 보건소(도시형, 농촌형, 혼합형)에서 적용 가능한 효과적인 교육 프로그램의 개발 및 효과 검증에 관한 더 많은 연구가 필요하다.
