Skill and technology, based on natural principles, benefit the mankind by improving production in human society. Although traditional Korean society has often scorned them, today`s society demands a proper re-evaluation and restoration of skill and technological vocations. As one gains the highest understanding in skill and technological vocations, he could eventually attain the Way. Those who attained the Way may then possess the ultimate statecraft to rule the world and benefit all humanity far and wide. The education of skill and technology ought to go beyond the transmission of knowledge using the written words. Colleges must not focus on the "chaff and dregs" of the facility or true wisdom in the education of skill and technology for the sake of scholarship. Fields such as beauty treatment, culinary art, and dressmaking need to take their rightful place in the academe and transmit the wisdom in the pursuit of the Way. If we can construct in such fields educational system that efficiently transmits the "core" of wisdom and corresponding educational contents, there may be a possibility for a new educational paradigm that will enable us to overcome current problems facing the traditional college education in humanities and social sciences.
