The Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB) is proposed as a model to predict consumer e-shopping adoption behavior. Data were collected via online, November 7-14, 2002. 273 completed questionnaires were used. The model was assessed with the structure equation modeling using LISREL VII. The results indicate that (1) The data fits to TPB model adequately. (2) All 3 constructs, Attitude, Perceived behavioral control, Subjective norm were found to play a significant role in consumer behavior intentions. (3) decomposing the structure allows us to investigate which belief indicator represents its related construct. The findings suggest that relative advantage, self-confidence, and friends' influence play an important role in e-shopping adoption.
