정당한 세상에 대한 개인적 믿음과 교직 만족도의 관계: 내적통제성에 따른 교사 직무스트레스의 조절된 매개효과 = The Relationship between Beliefs in a Just World for Self and Satisfaction with Teaching: A Moderated Mediation Effect of Teacher’s Job Stress according Internal and External Controls

In this study, the moderated mediating effect of teacher’s job stress according to internal control was confirmed in the relationship between secondary teachers’ personal belief in a just world for self (BJW-self) and satisfaction with the teaching jobs. For this purpose, BJW-self, the internal control, teacher’s job stress, and satisfaction with the teaching jobs were measured from 375 secondary school teachers. The major results of this study were as follows. First, the relationship between BJW-self and STJ was partially mediated by the teacher’s job stress. The higher BJW-self, the lower the teacher’s job stress and the higher the teacher’s job satisfaction. At the same time, the higher the teacher’s job stress, the lower the teacher’s job satisfaction. Second, it was found that the internal control moderated the relationship between the teacher’s BJW-self and the job stress. When BJW-self was low, the group with high internal control had higher job stress than the group with low internal control. However, when BJW-self was high, the group with low internal control had higher job stress than the group with high internal control. Third, in the effect of BJW-self on satisfaction with a teaching job, the mediating effect of teacher job stress through internal control was moderated. In other words, it was confirmed that if a teacher with a weak BJW-self had high internal control, the teacher’s job stress increased, thereby lowering satisfaction with the job as a teacher. On the other hand, it was found that teachers with strong BJW-self had higher internal control, lower job stress which increases satisfaction with the job as a teacher. Based on these research results, the significance, limitations, and suggestions of this study were discussed.
