      In this study, the educational meaning of “a Writing Extra-curricular Program” was explored through case analysis of < Challange Writing >. To this end, the operation and educational content and method of the “challange writing” class, writing materials and class materials of students participating in the class, preliminary surveys, and satisfaction surveys were analyzed. Through the “challange writing” class, students were able to learn self-directedly, experience what difficulties they had when writing and recognize what problems were in their writing in detail. And through this, self-directed report rewriting was performed while applying an appropriate rewriting strategy. Report rewriting was performed by applying the recognition of the importance of rewriting, writing plans and drafting considering the process of reviewing the draft, clarifying the subject, presenting an appropriate title, organizing the content of the introduction, body, and conclusion, writing an outline, and finding reliable data.
