텍스트 읽기와 쓰기 교육 = A Study for Text Reading and Writing Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Text reading and writing are independent activities. At the same time they are very close interlinked activities from the point of view they both need a highly intellectual competency and share the text. Such an interlinkage between text reading and writing demands two independent tracks of reading and writing lessons, while the two tracks should also be integrated with each other in order to maximize educational efficiency. In the integration of reading and writing, however, higher priority should be given to writing as it includes reading in itself. Accordingly, reading lessons and writing lessons must consist of the separate contents and methods, and at the same time reading lessons should be designed to support writing lessons. Such a writing-oriented teaching model, in particular, targets the first-year students of college, aiming at cultivating their report writing capabilities. The model is expected to provide students with reading and writing skills that are needed for report writing, and with opportunities to practice necessary steps to draft academic reports.
