The study aimed to explore the direction of the career and vocation subject in the 2022 Basic Curriculum for Special Education. Four special education teachers and two parents were interviewed for the research toward revision of the area and achievement standards of career and vocation subject by means of Focus Group Interviews. The Delphi survey was conducted on twenty special education teachers in the first and second rounds of contents validity verification for career and vocation subject achievement standards. As a result of study, the validity of the composition of the six areas were met the 2022 Basic Curriculum for Special Education; ‘self-awareness’, ‘the world of job’, ‘basic work skills’, ‘vocational attitude’, ‘career design’, ‘career preparation’. Second, the content validity of career and vocation subject’s area - ‘self-awareness’, ‘the world of job’, ‘basic work skills’, ‘vocational attitude’ - was revealed. Third, it found the need for research on teaching and learning methods and improving special education teacher’s awareness of ‘career design’, ‘career preparation’ area. Based on the results of study, the final achievement criteria were presented along with discussions for the direction of revision of the career and vocation subject in the 2022 Basic Curriculum for Special Education.
