일본과 중국 간의 동중국해 해양영토 분쟁

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to analyze the historical causes and structural characteristics in the maritime territory and marine resources conflicts in East China Sea between Japan and China. The main contents for analysis are Japan-China relations since 1945, marine resources and the policy decision-making causes in the East China Sea territory conflicts. Firstly, we have found that the periodical changes of Japan-China relations have affected the territorial problems in both countries strongly. Secondly, the importance and development of marine resources in the sea area have caused both countries to rise the maritime territory problems from under water, in particular natural gas development since 2003. Thirdly, the top decision-makers of both Chinese and Japanese governments have agreed to postpone the conflicts to the next ages which the peaceful good solution can be expected in 1970s, but Chinese political leaders have tried to write down the Senkaku Islands and EEZ around the island their own territory since 1990. Both governments have confronted with the serious maritime territory conflicts gradually since 2003, in particular in the Japanese Koizumi cabinet.
