      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      This thesis deals with various psychological problems of music; which constitutes a principle to practical music education, because effective music education can be achieved only by exactly understanding, analyzing and judging various musical problems of the educated-innate and acquired.
      It will be fortunate that the camparison and observation of the proper and improper aspects of music in korea, based on the Following records, provide a referential material for the study of korea's correct music education and improvement of its level.
      This thesis consists of the following contents:
      (1) The Concept of Musical nature
      (2) The Concept and Developmental Process of Musical Quality, Talent and Ability
      (3) The Concepts and Classification of Musical Ability
      (4) The Relations of Musical Ability with other Talents and Heredity
      Various musical exprience and full theoretical knowledge are required for correctly understanding music in details.
      Recently, there has increased emphasis and interest in music which plays an important role in life of all human beings.
      While teaching the theories of music at some college over serveral years. I have felt that it is required to establish the basic theories necessary to understand music as well as its detailed experience.
      As a result, this study is mainly dealing with theories required for the introduction to music. in order for the students being much interested in or studying music to easily and systematically understand these musical theories.
      In addition, the main purpose of this study is for the teacher to use it as a practical guide by containing various kinds of practical exercises, and to contribute to wider understanding of music by introducing many kinds of information and literature into this book, rather than certain musical theories.
      Therefore, I would like to accept all advises of everyone in this field.
      Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for all kinds cooperation and advices concerning this study although its contents are insufficient.
