An experimental engine with an Eelectromagnetic earn less valvetrain, capable of total valve motion control, is developed in this study. This system (Electromagnetic Valve Actuation : EVA) does not use cams. Electromagnetic force opens intake and exhaust valves. The purpose of this paper is to explain how to design and control the solenoid for variable valve timing. In this study, A single cylinder engine is equipped with programmable electromagnetic valve actuator and operated with intake-and exhaust valve variation.
