The current national DUR system is focused on reviewing prescription drugs, so pharmacists' patient management, including OTC and health functional foods, is incomplete. The need for a platform that can improve these imperfections and, furthermore, collect and integrate more data to provide high-value services has been raised. Therefore, developing healthcare tools that enhance data accessibility and usability by adding features that enable pharmacists and patients to collaborate to review prescriptions, search for interactions and side effects, and analyze product usage history is a very useful option. The Smart Pharmnote platform developed by Onnuri H&C has enhanced data usability by adopting disease and drug classification symbols commonly used domestically and internationally as a standard code system, using data sources accumulated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Korea Institute of Drug Safety and Risk Management, and pharmacy chain companies. By collecting data and repeating health management on a weekly basis, we naturally encourage beneficial habits. This platform also features regular curation by pharmacists, utilizing ICT. Currently undergoing a pilot study involving over 2,000 subjects, the platform is expected to become a valuable tool for simultaneously preventing chronic diseases and optimizing drug treatment.
