품밟기·활갯짓을 통한 택견철학 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지금까지 현대인이 필요로 하는 정신적 고향인 전통과 택견의 현대적 의의를 품밟기·활갯짓에 내포되어 있는 변화와 시간성(시의성)의 원리의 철학적 고찰을 통해 알아보았다. 현대인에게 요구되어지는 과거로부터 이어온 미래를 위한 가치의 창조를 위한 전통의 한 부분으로써 택견을 살펴보았다. 택견 특히 활갯짓과 품밟기 속에 담겨있는 변화의 원리는 조화와 균형을 바탕으로 한 리듬과 박자(마디)로 표현된다.고대 한국문화는 유목문화를 바탕으로 농경정착문화로 발달하여왔고, 이러한 바탕은 숭무(崇武)의 사상-풍류도, 선배, 화랑도 등-으로 나타났다. 선진(先秦)유학이 중국의 동북지방에서 흥기하였음과 육예(六藝) 중 활쏘기·말타기가 있는 점 등으로 한국 고유사상과 한국 고대무예사상을 연구함에 있어 선진유학의 핵심이라 할 수 있는 역학을 중심으로 연구되어 질 수 있다.한국 고유의 사상인 신도(神道 ; 天道 내지 易道)를 상징의 신화로 담고 있는 것이 단군신화를 비롯한 건국신화이다. 이 건국신화 특히 단군신화에 수(數)와 변화(變化)로 변화원리인 천도 즉, 신도를 상징하고 있다. 단군신화에 나타난 변화는 인격적인 측면의 인간의 심성 내면에서의 자각이며 이것을 천도의 인간 주체적 자각이라고 한다. 천도의 인간 주체적 자각은 천도의 인간 주체화를 전제로 하여 이루어진다. 인간에 주체화된 천도는 인간의 심성내면에 사덕으로 주체화되며 이것이 바로 인간 본래성이다.택견의 활개짓·품밟기를 통해 조화와 균형-리듬과 박자(마디)을 체득하고, 그 속에 내재되어 있는 변화원리인 천도를 자각하는 것은 천도가 인간 심성내면에 사덕으로 주체화되었음을 자각하는 것이다. 천도의 인간 주체적 자각을 통해 인간 심성 내면에서 천지만물을 인격적 차원으로 고양 시키는 것이 군자의 사명이며, 택견을 통해 상생의 원리를 실천하는 방법이 된다.천도의 인간 주체적 자각에 이르는 내외적 심성수련의 한 방법이 택견이다. 인간에게 주체화된 천도를 택견의 측면에서 신한승은 ‘참’이라고 하였다. ‘참’의 주체적 자각과 실천의 방법으로 제시한 것이 ‘택견인의 길’이다. ‘택견인의 길’은 인간의 심성내면에 주체화된 사덕의 구조를 이루고 있다. ‘택견인의 길’은 택견정신인 ‘참’을 주체적으로 자각하는 방법이며 실천하는 방법이다. 택견은 택견정신인 ‘참’과 ‘택견인의 길’을 통해 비로소 상생의 무예가 되고, 택견인은 상생을 실현하는 도덕적 군자가 되는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, I evaluated the modern meaning of Korean tradition and Taekyun, which is a spiritual home for contemporaries, through the philosophical consideration of the variety and the chronological principle portrayed in the Pumbalki and Hwalgaesit. I took Taekyun as a part of the Korean tradition for creating the future value succeeding the past, which is asked to the contemporaries. The principle of variety portrayed in Taekyun, especially in Hwalgaesit and Pumbalki is demonstrated with time and rhythm based on harmony and balance.The Ancient Korean culture was developed into agricultural settlement civilization based on nomadic civilization. The fundamental was represented by pursuing the policy of militarism such as Pungyudo, Sunbae, Hwarangdo. With regards to the facts that Pre-Jin Dynasty Confucianism rose in Northeastern part of China and archery and horse riding belonging to the Six Martial Arts, the science of divination, the essence of pre-Jin Dynasty Confucianism can be focused in studying Korean traditional ideas and the thought of Korean ancient martial arts.Dangun Myth and other Korean birth myths symbolize the Teaching of the Heavenly King as a Korean traditional idea. Among Korean birth myths, especially Dangun Myth symbolizes the Teaching of the Heavenly King that is the principle of diversity by the numbers and variety. The diversity shown in Dangun Myth can be said the human realization of internal nature and this is called human independent realization of the truth of the Heaven. This realization gets attained on the premises of the human subjectivity of the Truth of the Heaven. The Truth of the Heaven is subjectified as Four Virtues inside the human mind and that is the very nature of human being.It means the internal realization of the Truth of the Heaven as Four Virtues learning time and rhythm based on harmony and balance through Hwalgaesit and Pumbalki to realize the Truth of the Heaven, the diversity principle immanent in universe to the level of internal personalization through the human subjective realization of the Truth of the Heaven. Also, it is the way to practice the idea of coexistence and co-prosperity through Taekyun.Taekyun is a way of mental and physical training to lead the subjective recognition of the Truth of the Heaven. The Truth of the Heaven subjectified in human being was called ‘Truth’by Shin Han-sung in Taekyun. ‘The Way of Taekuyn’ was indicated as the way of self-realizing and practicing ‘The Truth’. It is structured like Four Virtues, the internal realization of the Truth of the Heaven. ‘The Way of Taekuyn’ is the way of self-recognizing and carrying out the Truth, the spirit of Taekyun. Taekyun can be the martial arts of coexistence and co-prosperity only through The Truth and The Way of Taekyun and the Taekyun practitioner becomes virtuous Gunja actualizing the value of coexistence and co-prosperity. Abovementioned are the philosophy of Taekyun and the modern importance of Taekuyn as Korean tradition.
