비서학의 커뮤니케이션 연구 동향 분석 = An Overview of Articles on Communication in the Journal of Secretarial Studies for Two Decades

국문 초록 (Abstract)

조직에서 정보/사람을 연결하고 통합 관리하는 정보의 중재자인 전문비서에게 커뮤니케이션 능력은 매우 중요하게 요구되는 역량이다. 본 연구는 비서학논총에 게재된 커뮤니케이션관련 연구를 살펴보고 향후 비서학 분야에서의 커뮤니케이션 관련 연구를 위한 발전적인 제안을 하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 창간호부터 2012년도까지 20 여 년간 게재된 논문 311편 중 커뮤니케이션 관련 연구 30편을 연구방법, 연구범위, 세부내용, 그리고 제안범위의 측면으로 살펴보았다. 커뮤니케이션 관련 논문을 먼저 내용적으로 영어 커뮤니케이션 연구와 우리말을 중심으로 주로 이루어지는 일반적 커뮤니케이션 연구의 두 가지 영역으로 분류할 수 있었다. 현재까지 이루어진 커뮤니케이션 연구동향을 분석하기 위하여 영어 커뮤니케이션과 일반적 커뮤니케이션에 관한 논문을 연구방법, 연구범위, 세부내용, 그리고 제안범위 측면에서 내용 분석하여 도식화하여 비교하였다. 연구결과, 비서학 논총에 게재된 커뮤니케이션 연구의 현재 모습을 볼 수 있었으며 영어 커뮤니케이션 연구와 일반적 커뮤니케이션 연구의 차이를 파악할 수 있었다. 또한, 상대적으로 탐색되지 않은 분야를 발견할 수 있었다. 연구결과를 중심으로 향후 비서학 분야에서 기대되는 커뮤니케이션 연구를 위한 제안을 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Communication skills are one of the essential skills required for a professional secretary, an information intermediary who connects people and information in organizations. The current study aims to overview the studies on communication published in the Journal of Secretarial Studies. For the overview, articles published from 1993 to 2012 were reviewed and 30 communication articles out of a multitude of 311 articles related to secretarial studies were analyzed in terms of research methods, scopes, sub topics, and implications. The selected articles on communication were first categorized into two research areas: English communication studies and general communication studies. The current trends in each research area were then content-analyzed and compared in terms of research methods, research scopes, topics, and implications. The overview revealed the current trends of communication studies and identified the difference in the research on English communication and the research on general communication in the Journal of Secretarial Studies. The result reveals that there are some less explored research topics in the studies on communication published in the Journal of Secretarial Studies. On the basis of the analysis, the future directions for communication research in Secretarial studies are suggested.
