여성장애인의 자녀양육과 장애의 심리적 극복과의 관계 = The Relationship between child rearing of women with disability and Mental overcome of disability

Although women with disability come to build up negative self-image by social prejudice and discrimination, the child rearing plays a great role for unification of society by having affirmative effect on self-image of women with disability. However, due to lack of political/systematic support in Korea, women with disability have much difficulty related to the rearing of children. Therefore, this study intended to verify disability type, disability grade, a occurrent stage of disability, spouse disability, to grope for the relationship between child rearing of women with disability and mental overcome of disability. Sample of 170 married women (having children: 138 persons, no having children: 32 persons) with crippled disability, visual disability, auditory disability who live in Seoul was used by formal questionnaire, and the other 5 married women with disability was randomly selected for an individual interview. The study concluded that there is an important relationship between the child rearing of women with disability and mental overcome of disability. Based on results, significance of the aspect of social welfare for mental overcome of disability was suggested.
