The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Korean Language Creativity Development Program on Creativity and Academic Achievement of the Elementary School Students
The research questions are as follows:
First, are there any effects of Korean Language Creativity Development Program on creativity improvement?
Second, are there any effects of Korean Language Creativity Development Program on academic achivement?
Third, are there any correlations between creativity and academic achivement of the elementary school students?
The subjects for this research were 64 second grade children of on elementary school in Buan.
The instrument for this study was Test of Creative Thinking made by Torrance(1974) for measuring creativity test.
The results of this research were as follows.
First, Korean Language Creativity Development Program was effective to creativity improvement
Second, Korean Language Creativity Development Program was effects to academic achivement
Third, there were positive correlations between creativity and academic achivement.
Based on the results obtained, this study could make some suggestions for further studies and practical applications.
First, the Korean Language Creativity Development Program should be developed with the considering the affective aspect as well as the cognitive aspect.
Second, more comprehensive test most be development for measuring the effects of Korean Language Creativity Development Program properly.
