사회과 학습자료로써 신문의 효과적인 재구성 방안 연구 = A Study on the Effective Reorganization of Newspapers as a Learning Material in the Social Studies

This thesis aims at offering a clue of reorganization method of Newspapers for a possibility to utilize newspapers and using a learning material as a learning material in the Social Studies. So, this thesis looked into educational traits and effectiveness of newspapers as a learning material in the Social Studies and explored the actual condition of Newspaper in Education (NIE) which emphasized in the Social Studies curriculum. As a result, the introduction of NIE was positively adopted in the Social Studies curriculum. Second, this thesis analyzed the ``social studies`` textbook which is the 7th textbooks of social studies of 1st grade, highschool. As a result, the learning materials had many problems in the textbooks. And this thesis got Implications that using the old source of learning materials which might make students interest lower and reduce the efficiency of class. Third, the exploration of newspapers and analysis of textbooks as a learning material leads to the conclusion that is compared to the old materials, textbooks should provide students with the recent news material. Especially, this thesis suggests that teachers should reorganize and utilize new newspapers so that they can make them coincide with learning aims and educational directions, rather than just providing.
