공간, 장소 그리고 경계에 관한 노장철학적 접근 = A Daoistic Approach to Space, Place and Boundary

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis aims to check the concept of space, place, spaciality and boundary, reflect the direction of them under the mechanism of modernity and make the sublimity as a true place for human through Daoistic idea of space (vacancy). Nowadays our concern to spaces and places is very simple and our gazes at objects around us in the capitalism such as Neo-liberal policy measures are also unilinear, which results in keeping us from the application of the various capacity of the boundary with the concepts of spaces that are approached from our humanistic imagination. In doing so, we occupy place as a real space regardless of possibilitiy of them, so that it may be responsible for the ``placelessness`` as Edward Relph indicated. We need ``the true place`` for our being in which we maintain our own identities and make the spaces for our relationships. But the boundary of our mentality toward our private unitarianism becomes an obstacle to them and sequently encroach the territory or space we need for being in both physical and mental aspects. We ought to get rid of obstacles like them in order to meet the new boundary where we may live in oneness. Accordingly we must make our mental territory from the mechanism of modernity changed, and produce organic spaces that are inevitably needed for our existences that are not only physical but also spiritual. We should prepare the space of the existence in which we are able to appreciate our individuality and the others` in the idea that the host and hosted should live on their own identities and all creatures under the heaven are in oneness, as Chaung Tzu`s expression, in the location of the Way, all things are communicatively equal to each other
