‘활동적 노화’에 관한 다차원적 측정과 국가간 비교 = Multi-dimensional Measuring and Multi-level Analysis of Active Ageing in 16 OECD Countries

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study tried to construct multi-dimensional measurement of the Active Ageing, which is regarded in advanced counties as a new paradigm to tackle demographic ageing. It also examined the affected factors, and present an effective strategies for the Active Ageing. Eleven indicators in three dimensions have been identified for the Active Ageing scores among 16 OECD countries, using the data from HRS, SHARE, ELSA, and KLoSA. The results show that there are cross-national differences in the Active Ageing scores. The sex, education level, marital status, and age at individual level and public long-term care expenditure at national level had significant effects to Active Ageing scores. The interaction effects between individual socio-economic status and institutional characteristic were statistically valid, as well. Therefore, this study suggests that multi-dimensional perspectives of the Active Ageing, recognition of the variations that exist amongst elderly, life-course approach, and adequate social security system are needed to promote effective Active Ageing scores.
