전통과 현대의 재해석을 통한 디지털 장비 활용 소반 디자인 개발 연구 = A Study on the Development of Soban Design using Digital Equipment through the Reinterpretation of Traditional and Modernity

In modern society, there is a need for a design culture that can satisfy individual emotions and needs amid the spread of industrialization and internationalization. For this reason, various efforts are taking place in various design fields, including furniture design, to maintain the national identity and inherit and develop traditional culture and history. In the furniture design industry, which is one of the pillars of people's residential culture, as our residential culture and lifestyle change, the need for furniture as a medium for interaction between users and spaces is urgent. Among them, Soban, Korea's representative traditional furniture, is a tool used in our real life and a furniture with both art and function. Unlike other types of furniture, Soban, a daily necessity that has been developed by reflecting the social situation of the time and inheriting the wisdom of ancestors' experiences, has been produced in consideration of the user's position. As the value and meaning of the soban have begun to be re-examined in modern times, various studies are being conducted, and interest in new reinterpretation based on modern sensibility and design of soban using new materials and advanced technology is increasing. Based on the reinterpretation of the traditional soban, this study aims to develop a soban that maximizes product competitiveness through grafting new materials and innovation in production methods using advanced digital equipment. Through this, it will present new possibilities to the Soban design industry, further strengthen the inherent capabilities of the Korean furniture and craft culture industry, and contribute to securing international competitiveness that can generate high value-added profits.
