국문 초록 (Abstract)

이민자 중 양문화의 특성을 많이 가진 사람일수록 정신적으로뿐 아니라 육체적으로 더 건강하다. 본 연구는 미국 내 한인이민자들의 문화적응을 지원하는 봉사단체의 이중문화중심의 서비스역량 강화전략을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 연구방법: 문헌검토와 일개 한인봉사단체의 문건 및 회의내용의 분석을 통해 이루어졌다. 결과: 이중문화 및 정치적 리더십, 자원봉사자 주도의 관리기술 개발, 요구 및 지지자원 기반의 서비스 기획, 문화특성을 고려한 서비스 평가, 개인별 접촉을 통한 자원봉사자 확보, 한인사회지도자 활용, 찾아가는 서비스, 요구중심의 협력체계구축, 문화적 능력 함양을 위한 자원봉사자 교육 등의 전략이 도출되었다. 결론: 실제 일개 단체의 분석을 통해 확인한 문화적응 지원을 위한 역량 강화 전략들은, 미국 내 다른 이민자 단체뿐 아니라 최근 들어 이민자들이 증가하고 있고, 그들의 적응과 관련하여 정신적, 육체적 건강문제가 대두되기 시작한 한국에도 실질적인 참고자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.
