평생교육 연구방법 탐색 - 반성적 실천연구 - = A Research Method for Lifelong Education - Reflective Action Research -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글에서 연구자는 듀이의 과학적탐구이론에 기초한 반성적실천연구가 평생학습시대에 적합한 평생교육 연구방법으로 탐색될 필요가 있다는 것을 논의하였다. 반성적실천연구는 구체적 실천 상황에 처한 행위자가 어떻게 변화의 모습을 찾아가고 만들어 가는가에 대한 탐구를 하는 데 적합한 연구방법이다. 평생학습을 통해 변화의 모습을 찾고 만들어가는 능력을 키우는 것이 중요한 능력으로 부각된 평생학습시대에 듀이의 과학적탐구이론에 근거한 반성적실천연구가 더욱 중요하다.
반성적실천연구 과정을 통해 연구자인 실천가는 실천 상황을 비판적으로 읽고, 적절한 실천 행위를 반성적으로 탐색 하고, 그 행위의 타당성과 적합성을 실천적으로 검토하는 평생학습 경험을 할 수 있다. 이러한 평생학습 과정을 통해 연구자인 실천가는 실천의 질을 높이고 실천상황을 긍정적으로 변화시키는 데 적합한 지식을 창출할 수 있다. 또한 체계적인 반성적 사고 과정을 동반한 반성적실천연구를 통해 연구자인 실천가는 이론과 실천의 괴리를 좁혀 실천의 합리성과 타당성을 높이는 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 반성적실천연구는 연구자인 실천가의 이론적 지식과 실천적 지식을 변증법적으로 결합할 수 있게 하는 연구로 연구자인 실천가의 전문성이 신장되고 계속해서 성장할 수 있도록 도와줄 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study purports to propose a reflective action research rooted on Dewey's theory of inquiry, as a research method for lifelong education because it is assumed to be a relevant research method in the age of lifelong learning. Reflective action research can be appropriated for researching how a actor located in everyday practical situation, makes efforts to change oneself and life situation. In an age of lifelong learning, when a capability of learning to learn and change is stressed, Dewey's theory of inquiry-based reflective action research becomes more emphasized. Reflective action research fosters lifelong learning for the practitioner as a researcher and help to enhance rationality and validity of practice. Moreover, reflective action research by leading to combine theoretical and practical knowledge, contributes a practitioner as a researcher to enhance his or her expertise and to grow.
