We obtain pojection data in detector and estimate and reconstruct. We discuss some reconstruction methods used in emission tomography. There are forward transformation, back-projection and iterative reconstruction.
In the probabilistic approch, image reconstruction involves maximizing a certain probability of interest. By Bayes theorem, we find the MAP estimate. The MIL estimate can be considered a special case of the MAP estimate when the prior distribution is uniform.
CRLB can be used for iterative reconstruction. We find that MAP converge to the iterative method
