This paper is analyzed about a wing design study to improve the aerodynamic characteristics of wings in light airplanes. Small light airplanes are utilized as a private or basic training airplane for obtaining pilot’s license. Currently operating airplanes are usually well designed and good aerodynamic performance, but still it has been happened accidents due to lackness of aerodynamic performance combined with other unexpected factors during flight. In this research, one of light airplanes will be studied as a target of wing design modification. Newly adapted and designed wing proposed in this study is studied about better aerodynamic characteristics of airplane in the aspect of inviscid potential flow using VSAERO in OpenVSP software.
