- 사전 분석을 통하여 미래성장 가능성이 높은 치과용 , 수술용임플란트, 광학 및 레이저 및 생체현상측정 의료기기를 전략 분야로 선정함
- 축적된 노하우 및 강력한 리더쉽을 통하여 세부기관들의 주도적 역량구축 및 상호 긴밀한 협력으로 시너지 효과를 창출
- 해당 전략 분야에서 최 단시간 내에 선진국 수준의 역량을 구축토록하여
- 성과의 극대화 및 국가 차원의 효율적인 의료기기 임상시험 인프라를 구축하고자 함

- 의료기기 임상시험센터 공간 및 테스트 장비 확보
- 의료기기 임상시험 전문인력 확보
- 세부과제 특성에 맞는 의료기기 임상시험 인프라 구축
2) 의료기기 임상시험 교육 및 전문인력 양성
- 의료기기 임상시험 전문인력양성센터 설립 (내부전문가 확보)
- 세부기관 의료기기 임상시험 관련 교육 및 연계 프로그램 확립
- 직군별, 특성별 의료기기 교육과정 개설
- 유관기관 연계 임상시험 전문가 심화 교육과정 공동 운영
- 의료기기 업체 대상 임상시험 홍보 세미나 개발 및 개최
- 선진국 임상시험 실시기관과의 협력 및 연수 프로그램 개발
