제7차 교육 과정에 터한 초등학교 실과 교과서의 공업·기술 관련 단원의 개발 전략 = The Development of Units Related to Industry and Technique of the Practical Arts of Elementary School for the 7th National Curriculum

Among the factors that influence an effective teaching and learning, the quality of teachers, textbooks, and various materials for instruction are very important. Especially the contents of textbook should be coincident with the characteristics of each subject that could be found on the National Curriculum. Also the textbook should be a means for accomplishing the objects of the National Curriculum, and should be organized for teachers to reflect their intentions into real instruction easily.
Now we are developing textbooks for the 7th National Curriculum that will be carried out in elementary schools from 2000. This study was focused on how to develop the units related to industry and technique of the Practical Arts of elementary school for the 7th National Curriculum.
First of all, the units of the Practical Arts for the 7th National Curriculum should be organized to encourage student's scientific thinking abilities and creativity. And this new units should be student-centered and interest-oriented. Finally, in order to have a good teaching and learning environment for the Practical Arts, we have guarantee more allotted learning time per week, and improve teacher's understandings about the Practical Arts as an elementary school subject.
