The EMDEC(Electronic Component Materials Design Education Center) was established for two purposes : to support industries concerned with electronic component materials, and to educate people concerned with both electronic components and the development of materials design. This is mainly accomplished by providing continuing education involving the related industrial technicians, researchers and graduate students. The goals of education programs in EMDEC are training the next generation of experts in the fields of electronic components and materials design, nurturing core technologies of our country and re-tooling promptly coping with changes and new technologies. The importance of ow work is to develop the best techniques which industries need to advance, and to reduce the gaps in school education by offering continuing education. This also leads to increased production efficiency, prevents wasting education funds, and contributes to the competitive power in international relationships. The present status of on-going education are the regular education courses and the on-site education courses. Expectation results are contribute to developing R&D for both the electronic components and materials companies by supporting experts, and build-up the competitiveness power in the industry of electronic components.
