    The number of vehicles registered at the end of November 1989 was 230,518. It is expected that the number will be up to 244,000 by the end of 1989. This figure is 11,680 more than that of the previous year.
    The major cause of parking problem is expecially the rapid increase in passenger cars.
    The increase ratio of the passenger cars among the total number in the last year was 62%, but the ratio at the end of November 1989 was 70%.
    There is no one who can park easily in the urban district areas nowadays.
    Thus this paper aims to the study on the expansion of parking facilieies and improvement of law and establishment with relation to parking system in the area of Pusan city.
