ABSTRACT
In this paper, a synchronous battery charger/discharger, which has high efficiency, was proposed, designed, implemented, and experimented. To minimize size and weight, the proposed battery charger/discharger has combined by only one power electronics circuit with two switch. The control mode of the battery charger/discharger was determined by DSP. Charging mode and discharging mode of the battery was automatically controled and determined by DSP. The efficiency of the proposed battery charger/discharger was about 96% at charging mode and 94% at discharging mode.
