In a vehicle, the panel is a major factor of the radiation noise and vibration, So the method for applying curved surface to thevehicle panel is one of the famous solutions for increasing the stiffness of panels. The curved surface reduces both interior noise and damping material application because of its high rigidity and uneven deformation mode. This paper derives the approximated equation, which evaluate the performance of the curved surface panel, using the FEM program. In addition, this work demonstrates properties of the curved surface and proposes the design guide of the curved surface panel.
