산림분야 유망직업 선정 연구 = A Study of Potential Future Occupations in Forest Fields

Recently according to the increased utilization possibility, expansion of service sector utilizing forest, and international attention on the forest resource, environment changes surrounding forest have led to rising the demand for professionals associated with forest field. In this study, potential future occupations were selected in order to increase the interest in jobs of the forestry sector. To pursue this goal, the environment analysis was carried out for finding out the current status of forest sector jobs, and potential future occupations in forest fields were driven. And the Delphi survey with 10 experts of forest and vocational studies were conducted to validate the draft. The results of this study were as follows.
First, forest therapists and guides, forest biomass researchers, forest researchers of biological resources, researchers of forest pest control, researchers of forest resource breeding, forest ecological restoration technicians, forest protection technicians, forest disaster experts, foreign species surveyors, forest therapists(doctors), and amenity researchers of forest ecology, were selected as potential future occupations in forest fields. Second, the criteria for selecting potential future occupations were higher vocational employment opportunities, expected increases in the number of workers for the future profession, high-income profession, taking advantage of the specialized knowledge and skills, and policy direction of Korea Forest Service. For this reason, selected future occupations in forest fields can be positioned as a profession which are not seasonal employment/lower revenues but guaranteed continued employment/regular incomes. Third, since potential future occupations depend on the era, it is necessary to focus on future forestry and related industries. Plus a system associated with developing professionals in the forest sector should be established to meet the demands of new jobs and manpower for future.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

산림의 자원 활용가능성의 증가와 산림을 활용한 서비스업의 확대, 산림에 대한 국제적 관심증대 등 산림을 둘러싼 환경변화와 활용 가능성의 증대로 이와 관련된 전문 인력에 대한 수요가 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 산림분야 일자리에 대한 관심 증대를 위해 산림분야 유망직업을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 산림분야 일자리 현황과 정책과 신림분야 유망직업 도출을 위한 환경분석을 하고 유망직업 초안을 도출하고 델파이 조사를 통해 산림 및 직업연구 전문가들 등 10인으로부터 산림분야 유망직업의 타당성을 검증받았다. 이 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 산림분야 유망직업으로 산림테라피스트 및 가이드, 산림바이오매스연구원, 산림생물자원 연구원, 산림병충해방제연구원, 산림자원 육종 연구원, 산림생태복원기술자, 산림보호 기술자, 산림방재전문가, 해외수종검사원, 산림치료사(나무의사), 산림생태 어메니티 연구원이 산림분야 유망직업으로 선정되었다. 둘째, 유망직업 선정 기준으로 취업기회가 높은 직업 또는 향후 종사자 수의 증가가 예상되는 직업, 소득이 높은 직업, 전문지식과 기술을 활용할 수 있는 직업, 산림청의 정책적 방향을 고려하였기 때문에 과거와 같이 계절에 따라 고용이 단절되고 낮은 수익의 직업이 아니라 지속적인 고용이 보장되고, 일정한 수입이 보장되는 직업으로 자리매김할 수 있다는 것이다. 셋째, 유망직업은 시대, 시기에 따라 변화가 일어나기 때문에 향후 산림과 관련된 산업들이 어떻게 발전해 갈 지를 주시하고, 이와 관련된 새로운 일자리의 발생과 인력수요를 충족시키기 위해 산림분야 전문 인력의 수급과 양성과 관련된 시스템을 구축하여야 한다.
