GA 참여 단도박자들의 선행을 통한 회복 연구: 근거이론 중심으로 = A study on recovery through good deed of GA participating gamblers: A grounded theory approach

The purpose of this study is to examine through the grounded theory that GA participants recover through good works. To this end, data were collected through 1:1 in-depth interviews with 10 research participants with experience of gambling addiction. The collected data were analyzed using the grounded theory method suggested by Strauss and Corbin (1990; 1998). As a result of the analysis, through axis coding, ‘force GA participation’, ‘colleague support’, ‘GA operation support’, ‘advancement experience’, ‘opportunity’, ‘talent’, GA's structural Ten themes could be derived, including ‘characteristics’, ‘continuation of good deeds’, ‘expansion of good deeds’, and ‘real gambling’. In addition, through selective coding, the core category of ‘going from forced gambling to true single gambling through advanced experience’ is assumed, and through type analysis, ‘advanced expansion type’, ‘recovery expert type’, ‘activity maintenance type’, ‘mixed type’ It could be divided into. Based on this, researchers suggested practical and policy implications that can be applied in the field of GA and addiction rehabilitation.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 GA(단도박 모임) 참여 단도박자들이 선행이라는 타인을 돕는 행위를 통해 어떻게 회복되어 가는지를 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 GA에 참여하면서 지속적 선행을 하고 있는 단도박자10명을 연구참여자로 선정했으며, 이들과 1:1 심층면담을 통해 연구에 필요한 자료를 수집했다. 수집된 자료는 Strauss와 Corbin(1990; 1998)이 제안한 근거이론 방법으로 분석했다. 분석결과, 축코딩을 통하여 ‘비자발적 GA 참여(억지 단도박)’, ‘동료 협심자 지원’, ‘GA운영 지원’, ‘선행(善行)체험’, ‘기회’, ‘재능’, ‘GA의 구조적 특성’, ‘선행의 지속’, ‘선행의 확장’, ‘진정한 단도박’을 포함하는 10개의 주제를 도출할 수 있었다. 그리고 선택코딩을 통해‘선행체험을 통해 억지단도박에서 진정한 단도박으로 나아가기’라는 핵심범주를 상정했다. 또한 유형분석을 통해 선행을 통한 회복의 유형을 ‘선행확장형’, ‘회복 전문가형’, ‘활동 유지형’, ‘혼합형’으로 나누어 볼 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 연구자들은 GA와 중독재활 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 몇 가지 함의를 제시했다.
