Design and Implementation of Video Metadata Management System = 동영상 메타데이타 관리시스템의 설계 및 구현

국문 초록 (Abstract)

통신망을 이용한 비디오 서비스의 초기 관심은 QoS를 보장하면서 비디오를 스트리밍하는 기법에 있었다. 그러나 최근에는 내용기반 검색을 위한 메타데이타를 갖고있는 대용량 비디오를 어떻게 관리하느냐가 주된 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 고에서는 비디오 및 관련 메타베이타를 서비스 제공자의 입장에서 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 비디오 자산관리 시스템 설계하고, 이를 기반으로 구현한 프로토타입 시스템이 예를 보인다.

In the early stage of video services provided through networked environment, one of the main issues was to guarantee the quality of service for streamed video. Recently, the focus is moving to manage large volume of video with corresponding metadata that are mainly for content-based retrieval. In this paper, we propose new system architecture for video asset management system that can archive and manage not only large volume of video but also their corresponding metadata. The proposed system is designed from the viewpoint of service provider to manage video assets efficiently. Also, a prototype system is implemented with the proposed design.
