아토피 피부염 환자에서 닥터피쉬 치료 효과에 대한 연구 = Effect of Doctor fish Treatment on Atopic Dermatitis

국문 초록 (Abstract)

아토피 피부염이란 특정 물질이 몸에 들어와 가려움증과 염증을 유발하는 알레르기성 피부질환으로 국민병으로 불릴 만큼 많은 사람들이 고통 받고 있으며 환경적인 요인으로 인해 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 반면 이에 대한 치료는 스테로이드나 항히스타민 등에 국한되고, 근본적 치료가 어렵고 재발이 잦으며, 부작용 발생의 문제점 등으로 인해 치료에 어려움이 많은 실정이다. 이에, 세계적으로 아토피 피부염의 치료에 대한 다각적인 연구가 이루어지고 있으나 현재까지 만족할 만한 치료법이 없는 상태에서 터키 및 독일 오스트리아 등 유럽 여러 나라에서는 건선 및 아토피를 비롯한 다양한 피부병의 치료에 가라루파 옵투사, 일명 닥터피쉬로 불리우는 물고기를 사용하여 좋은 효과를 보이는 증례들이 보고되고 있다.
이에 본 연구는 아토피 환자에서 닥터피쉬의 치료 효과를 검증하기 위한 실험을 시행하여 아토피 피부염의 치료에 있어 이러한 현대의학의 한계를 극복하고 대안으로 제안될 수 있는 자연 의학적 치료법이자 대체 치료 요법으로서의 닥터피쉬 효능에 대한 가능성을 살펴보고자 하였다.
Hanifin and Rajka criteria(1980), 한국인의 아토피 피부염 진단기준(2005)에 의해 아토피 피부염을 가진 7세 남아, 21세 여성, 30세의 남성을 대상으로 실험을 시작하였으나 7세 남아와 21세 여성은 중도에 자의에 의해 실험을 포기하였고 30세 남성에 대해서만 끝까지 실험이 진행되었다.
치료 1주차는 온천욕과 보습제로 인한 효과를 감별하기 위하여 온천욕 1시간과 보습제만을 사용하였고, 2주차와 3주차에는 1년생인 평균 8~10㎝ 크기의 터키산 가라루파 옵투사 200마리로 닥터피쉬 치료를 1일 1시간씩 병행하였다.
실험전 SCORAD, DLQI, VAS는 각각 71.6, 21, 10으로 측정되었고 실험 1주후에는 SCORAD, VAS는 변화가 없었으나 DLQI 점수만 오히려 24로 증가하였다. 닥터피쉬 치료를 병행한 2주차의 실험 결과는 SCORAD, DLQI, VAS가 각각 41.1, 13, 7로 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 3주차에는 SCORAD, DLQI, VAS가 각각 11.1, 6, 4로 현격히 감소하였다.
본 연구는 닥터피쉬의 아토피 치료효과에 대한 자연친화적이며, 부작용이 없는 대체의학적인 방법으로서의 가능성을 보여 주었다는데 그 의의가 있으며 이 논문을 통해 이에 대한 대규모의 연구가 보다 활발히 이루어지기를 제안하는 바이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Atopy, which is induced when a certain substance intrudes the body causes itchiness and inflammation and is on the rise in the number of occurrences because of series environmental pollution . However , there is no cure that is satisfying at the current state and because of treatment recurrences and side effects of treatments , many people suffer from it today. A seven year old male , 21 year old female , and 30 year old male took part in this experiment. The seven year old male and 21 year female gave up the experiment due to personal region . Therefore the result is only based on the 31 year old male . His illness occurred at the age of 21. He sought treatment from University hospital and herbal medication . The illness occurred throughout the whole body and the face and both hands had thickened due to lichenification . The patient suffered from depression and social phobia due to facial lesion. Also he had cataract. The Doctor fish used in the experiment were 1 year old and 9-10 cm long. The number was 200. The test took three weeks the first week experimented spa and moisturizer. The second week tested spa and doctor fish therapy for 1hour and moisturizer and the second week's circumstances were repeated on the 3rd week. Before experiment SCORAD, DLQI, VAS were each measured by 77.6,21,10
The first weeks consequences were the same as the results before the experiment but DLQI increased to 24.
There were some changes on the second week SCORAD decreased to 41.1 DLQI decreased to 13 and VAS dropped to 7.
There were also significant changes on the third week SCORAD dropped to 11.1
DLOI declined to 6 and VAS decreased to 4. Although it is too early to certain its effectiveness, but it's certain that it is safer and more ecological compared to other treatment. Therefore ,I hope that many research about it takes place to relieve the pain of many people that suffer from atopy today.
