      This paper attempts to examine 『Yixuexuyan(易學緖言)』 Tangshuguaqilun(唐書卦氣 論) . Tangshuguaqilun is one of among the Jeong Yagyong’s twenty one Collections of Critical Essays on the Chinese yixue(易學). In Tangshuguaqilun , Jeong Yagyong criticized the different theories of Gguqi(卦氣說) related to Chinese astronomy in the China``s representative oriental calender called 『dayanli(大衍曆)』. The Theory of Gguqi is a scholarly relation analysis of 『Zhouyi(周易)』``s 64 kinds of the gua(卦) yao(爻) and the lishu(曆數: which observed cyclic change and space etc, of 1 year, 12 months, 24 divisions of the year and 72 seasons of the year, leap month etc.) Especially Tangshuguaqilun argued about the Han(漢)-Dynasty’s xiangshuxue-theory(象數學說) associated with Calender system. Because of this, it has significance in terms of the chinese scholars and Jeong Yagyong’s comparative analysis-methods on 『Zhouyi』. Jeong Yagyong studied literately on image, number, principle of 『Zhouyi』 and as a result he considered the principle of 『Zhouyi』 as basis and a new yixue theory has been established. In this paper, I research primary sources of yixue[in order to criticize Hanyeok(漢易)’s Theory of Gguqi ascertained by Jeong Yagyong, and his scholarly analysis and Theory of Gguqi. It provides the specific details of the study. In the second chapter, it dealt with Chinese Calender System scrutinizing its historical development and Jeong Yagyong’s viewpoint of Chinese Calendar system. The third chapter deals with Jeong Yagyong’s criticism of Theory of Gguqi. The fourth chapter explains the critiques on Fenguazhiyifa(分卦直日法) and liuriqifenfa(六日七分法). The final chapter presents the analytical problems of 『Dayanli』 and dayan-numbers. In the process of carrying out this research specific contents of theories of yixue criticized by Jeong Yagyong and their basis and reasons were analysed. The study concludes that Jeong Yagyong centrally criticized Jingfang(京房)’s Theory of Gguqi which were different from the theories of Mengxi(孟喜) and Jiao Yanshou(焦延壽). Jingfang is a great scholar which radiated immense impact in the history of Chinese Yixue. But Jeong Yagyong criticized Jingfang’s theory which gets pointed out in its calender especially in fenguazhiyifa and liuriqifenfa. Furthermore, it has importance critical meaning that Tangshuguaqilun has divided scientific data of astronomy and application theory of Yixue.
