인간이해 : 이성 관계에서 자기애 성향에 따른 갈등대처방식, 정서 및 관계만족도의 차이: 대학생을 중심으로 = Differences in Narcissism in Conflict Management Styles, Affect, and Relationship Satisfaction among Dating Couples: A Study Focused on University Students

The purpose of this study was to investigate conflict coping styles, affect and relationship satisfaction among individuals with narcissistic personality traits in dating relationships. For this study, 361 single men and females in their 20s and 30s were assessed with the Narcissistic Personality Disorder Scale, Covert Narcissism Scale, Conflict Coping Style Scale, Multiple Affect Adjective Check List and Relationship Satisfaction Scale. Results revealed that in conflict situations with romantic partners, those in the narcissism group used more ``dominant`` conflict coping methods compared to the control group. In conflict situations, the covert narcissism group reported higher levels of anxiety and depression than the control group and the overt narcissism group reported more hostility than the control group. The covert narcissism group also reported more dissatisfaction in romantic relationships than the overt narcissism group and the control group.
