The aim of this paper is to study the main outline of the history of establishment of ‘Jesus Church’ in the early 1930s. The great revival movement of Yong Do Lee which took place in the early 1930s under a colonial policy of Japan, had a significant effect on the Korean Church. Even though he had disappeared from the stage of Korean Christianity when he was 32 years old, many scholars have considered his revival movement as a mysticism worthy of reflection. But most of them have neglected the early history of establishment of ‘Jesus Church’ which was established by him in 1933. To accomplish this purpose I will use meaningful works of reference related to this subject, such as monthly magazine of ‘Jesus Church’, complete works of Jongho Byeon, works of Inseo Kim, and so on. The main lessons the history of establishment of ‘Jesus Church’ left behind us could be summarized as follows: First, Viewpoint of History: With the sense of Christian historical awareness, the Church must recognize the importance of doctrine, creed, confession, tradition, and so on. Second, Viewpoint of Eschatology: The Church must try to pay equal attention to reform of this world and orientation to heaven’s perpetual bliss, looking forward to regeneration of all things. Third, Viewpoint of Mysticism: The Church must be careful of direct revelation of mysticism. And the Church must teach all Christians methodically that the former ways of God’s revealing His will unto His people now ceased, as it is written in The Westminster Confession of Faith 1:1.
