Curruntly, the world's green energy promotion is being pushed actively and in auto industry the research for both alternative energy and green energy should need to be always under development.
In the various alternative energy sources, biodiesel (below is called BDF) produced from maintenance of the plants and animals contains itself 11∼15% of the oxygen so BDF is being recognized as the alternative energy of diesel fuel that can considerably reduce exhaust gas that is the most serious problem in diesel engine using hydrocarbons having no oxygen.
Low load and high load area in the characteristic of diesel engines, the thick mixture and the end of the combustion is likely to be a lot of incomplete combustion so by using the biodiesel containing oxygen can reduce the exhaust gas.
In this study, measured ignition delay period of diesel and biodiesel whose content is 20% and 100% using common-rail injection system, taken flame development process in combustion chamber using high speed camera and combustion pressure using pressure sensor.
Therefore, in this study, a pilot injection of diesel fuel available to the common rail injection system with bio-diesel fuel content of 20%, respectively, to 100% of fuel used to measure the ignition delay period in the combustion chamber using the flame development process of high-speed camera has taken the pressure sensor was obtained using the leading pressure.
