채만식 작품의 <심청전> 수용 양상 연구 = A study on the reception of aspects of <Simcheongjeon> in works of Chae Man-sik

<Simcheongjeon> is a story about a main character, Simcheong.But in Pansori version of <Simcheongga>, humor in behaviors of ``Sim-bongsa`` takes most part of the story. The reason to this can be found in the fact that later part of <Simcheongjeon> progresses to a positive ending through fantastic solution process. But despite all that, tragedy is the main theme of the story. It is because the sadness of Simcheong who faces death after selling herself for her father and the guilt of Sim-bongsa as a father who committed the sin of selling his daughter are allocated between humor, arousing readers sense of tragedy, which is the main theme of the story. Chae Man-sik, who was raised under the influence of classic novels from youth, seems to have focused on the classics to find answers to his concerns about writing and found a new way for his works, based on thorough analysis on the classics. The classic work that he affectionately transfigured into various works is <Simcheongjeon>. He maximized the tragedy of story by eliminating upturn of the later part where the fantastic ending takes place in his works that are transfigured from <Simcheongjeon>. Also, he applied image of ``sold daughter`` from Simcheong and ``father who sold his daughter`` from Sim-bongsa to the characters in his works. Likewise, Chae Man-sik embodied characters with images of ``sold daughter`` and ``father who sold his daughter`` and lives of those who crumbled to the ground in time of Japanese colonial ruling by removing fantastic ending. There lies <Tackryu>, the masterpiece by Chae Man-sik at the climax of this endeavor.
