With use of image converter tube, RCA6929, ordinary visual photometry is improved to a physical photometry method. The improved Infrared Spectrometer is for the multipurpose: it can be used as a prism spectrometer, a grating spectrometer, as well as refractometer.
By the use of the Day-light Spectrometer, the following results are obtained:
(1) The indexs of refraction of an each sample by the method of minimum deviation are defermined 1.33 for water,1.36 for ethyle alcohol, and 1.51 for benzen at 18℃.
(2) When it is used as a grating spectrometer, the result shows that measurement are made of the angles that the diffracted beams make with the incident beam, from these angles, using a known wave length(8,000Å) the grating constant is determined.
In view of the above results, we would have good characteristics between the orresponding physical quantities.
