The purpose of this paper is to renew the value of environmental ethics in the eastern philosophies after extracting the people-oriented environmental ethics from the eastern traditional philosophies. Reviewing the Environment with the view of mechanism and holism, the first, have demonstrated that the paradigms of the environment has been transformed from the people-oriented environmental ethics to the ecology-oriented ones. Next, I have pointed some limits these two ethics have and alternatively suggested the ones of Cheon-In-Hap-Il(union of heaven and man) in the East. Through the research, I have confirmed that environmental ethics in the philosophies of life is the essential ideology which is commonly discovered in the concepts of Jung-Do(the middle of the road) in buddhism, Man-Mul-Il-Che (all things under the sun is one body) in Confucianism, Mu-Wi-Ja-Yeon(nature itself remained intact) in Taoism and Si-Cheon-Ju, Yang-Cheon-Ju in Cheondo religion. There are some implications in this paper with which the Eastern Environment Ethics provides environmental policies. They are bioethics of `Bul-Sal-Saeng`(No destruction of life) to live together, practical ethics of `Kyeong`(respect) to harmonize with the Nature and environmental ethics of `nature itself remained intact` to persue `Heo`(emptiness) and `I-Cheon-Sik-Ch eon` to care the life.
