한국무용사 관련 단행본의 출판 현황 및 특징 = A study on the publishing status and characteristics of books related to Korean dance history

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to fully investigate the books related to Korean dance history which have been publishing to date, comparing the distribution of publications by title, the composition of table of contents, and the monographs of prolific authors. In doing so, this study attempted to examine the trend of books related to Korean dance history and explore its future direction.
Twenty three books from various academic institutions and home pages in Korea were collected, catalogued, and sorted in order of publication year.
The results demonstrated the insufficient increase in the number of books related to Korea dance history, and the fact that the number of prolific authors accounted for half of the total number, which suggested that the multi-dimensional research development of Korean dance history was urgently required. Moreover, this study also suggested the necessity of publishing a new history book by actively introducing various research perspectives and methodologies such as anthropology, women`s studies, aesthetics, and cultural studies for the advancement of more qualitative research.
