BANKING SYSTEM REFORM IN VIETNAM

Vietnam is on their way to open market and has obtained many economic achievements. Together with the economic development the banking system has been reformed in order to meet increasing demand of the market. This study gives an overview of Vietnam banking system and the reforms in this system. The study analyses the reform process under Vietnam economic integration. Through this analysis, the problems occurring in the banking reforms have been revealed. With the aim at improving the efficient of banking system Vietnam banking system and Korean banking system have been compared and contrasted since Korean banking system had met similar problems and taken successful measures to overcome this situation. The study will provide the recommendation for Vietnam banking system reform in order to improve the efficiency more and deal with its weakness.
