한ㆍ중ㆍ일 3국의 환경의식과 환경행동 비교연구 = 이론적, 이념적 기반과 사회적 기반을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 한ㆍ중ㆍ일 3국의 환경의식과 환경행동을 그 이론적 기반, 이념적 성향과 사회적 기반과의 관계에서 경험적으로 비교하려는 시도이다. 한ㆍ중 일 3국의 환경의식과 환경행동을 비교분석하기위해 잉글하트 등의 『세계가치관조사』자료 중 1990-2001 년의 자료를 사용하였다. 역사적 문화적 유산이 비슷함에도 불구하고 한ㆍ중ㆍ일 3국의 환경의식과 환경행동은 서로 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 그 이론적 기반, 이념적 성향과 사회적 기반에 있어서도 서로 상이한 성격과 변화과정을 경험하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 한ㆍ중ㆍ일 3국의 환경의식과 환경행동 그리고 변화과정은 특정한 어느 하나의 이론적 관점에서 설명될 수 없으며 그 이념적 성향과의 관계나 사회적 기반에 있어서도 서로 상이한 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 차이는 문화적 유사성에도 불구하고 근대에 들어 각국이 경험하고 있는 상이한 정치ㆍ경제ㆍ사회적 변동의 성격을 반영하고 있는 것으로 이해할 수 있다. 이 분야의 앞으로의 과제는 환경의식과 환경행동의 비연속성을 고려하여 환경행동에 대한 심도 있는 연구가 되어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study IS an cross-national analysis on environmental attitudes and actions in Korea, China and Japan. Data used ill this study are from World Values Surveys 1990, 1995 and 2001. Although to understand environmental attitudes and actions, a specific theoretical approach may be applied, for these countries, this study shows that anyone theoretical perspective alone cannot explain diverse aspects of environmental attitudes and actions in these countries. In addition, Ideological and social bases of environmental attitudes and actions are different from each other in Korea, Japan, and China These differences, although they share similar historical and cultural legacies, may be reflections of different characteristics of social, political and economic changes that each country has experienced since after World War Ⅱ. A further studies on environmental actions are suggested because higher environmental attitudes do not naturally lead to higher environmental actions and environmental actions have been less investigated than attitudes.
