This study explores Perusing The Book of Songs and Reading The Book of Songs as a way to see The Book of Songs, and examines the principles and properties of Mind Cultivation in Zhu Xi’s written in the discussion about Reading The Book section of the Zhu Zi Yu Lei. Zhu Xi discerned the righteousness contained in The Book of Songs through Perusing The Book of Songs, and based on this, he could reach the stage of Raise a good heart in The Book of Songs in which he evades goodness and is wary of evil thinking, and he could reach the stage of Complete a good heart in Classical Music to complete goodness by removing the elements of bad faith in his mind with the nature of mind derived through Reading The Book of Songs.
