다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper analyzes the generative transformation of contents from the two perspectives of storytelling transformation and media transformation. As shown by the generative transformation of the virtual prototype-contents, such as <The Kim Gap Soon legend> or the <Medea> myth, it is by means of alterations (e.g. additions, deletions, reinterpretations and sequence rearrangements) of the motif used in the original content that the storytelling is transformed.
In addition to the storytelling transformation, the media act as a decisive factor, for without them, it is impossible to form the result of the (re)interpreted content into a new independent content.
As an example thereof, this paper analyzes the transformation process of the content <Medea> taking place through different media, such as painting, opera, novel, video games, etc.
And supported by the example above, it suggests that the story transformation and the media transformation are not two independent processes, but a simultaneous process based on mutual complementary relationship, a so-called single consistent process
This paper can not only be applied to any analysis of original contents, but also serve as a useful tool for people employed in the cultural business who are interested in producing new contents through the generative transformation process (films, webtoon/online comic strips, music videos, etc.)
