입원노인의 삶의 질에 관한 연구 = A Study on Quality of Life of the Elderly Inpatients

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to provide a basic source of data for improvement of the quality of life in the elderly inpatients. The sample consisted of 41 elderly inpatients, 65 or older in Gyeonggi-do.
The data was collected from April 1to May 15, 2003 and questionnaires were used for interviewing them. The data was analyzed using PC SPSS for the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Cronbach's Alpha, z²-test, Pearson Correlation coefficient, ANOVA and t-test.
The results are as follows.
1. The average level of quality of life score was 2.55, with the score of physical health 2.62, mental health 2.63 and social health 2.38 out of a possible 5.
2. There was not a significant correlation between quality of life and general charactertics.
3. 22％ of subjects were male and 78％ were female, the age of the subjects was from 65 years old to 93 years old.
4. The general characteristics influencing quality of life were nothing.
