김달수 문학의 해방 전후 -「족보」의 개작과정을 중심으로- = Before and After in Kim Dalsu`s Work: Focusing on the Rewriting Process of the zohoku

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper investigates Japanese Korean writer Kim Dalsu``s zohoku (genealogy), written from 1941 to 1980. The three texts comprising the zohoku differ in their interpretation of Korean culture and ethnicity pre and post-liberation. The zohoku texts written prior to the liberation depict Korean culture and ethnicity in a negative light. In contrast, zohoku texts written post-liberation portray Korean culture and ethnicity as essential factors. This decisive shift in attitude is at the core of any analysis of the zohoku texts. Moreover, the examination of the zohoku texts is supplemented by an analysis of t he w riter``s historical consciousness, thus decontextualizing their revision in accordance with historical circumstances. This paper endeavors to situate the works of Kim Dalsu since the postwar period in order to examine his texts in a historical context.
