우리나라 고등학생의 디지털 리터러시 결정요인 분석 = Effects of High School ICT Activities on Students` Digital Literacy in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Using the OECD Programme for International Student Assessment 2009(PISA 2009) data of 1,437 students in 152 public and private high schools in Korea, this study investigated how student and school factors influence the digital literacy of 15-year-old high school students. To accomodate the nested structure of the data and research questions, we used the Hierarchical Linear Modeling(HLM) methods to estimate school effects on student digital reading assessment. In this study, we found that most variance in digital reading assessment for Korea was within students rather than between schools. Still, both students and schools contributed significantly to the reading activities of students in digital literacy. At the student level, socioeconomic status, use of ICT at school, and online reading activities had the most significant strong effects on the digital reading assessment. However, most of school characteristics except the average socioeconomic status level of school, school size, government-independent private schools and the ratio of computers connected to internet have significant relationships with students`` digital reading assessment. Suggestions and implications of conducting a future study on digital reading literacy are also discussed
